Mornings: Mrs. Maggie Coleman
Mrs. Diane Masotti
Mrs. Masotti, better known as "Miss Diane," has been caring for children in daycare settings for many years. She is now in her seventh year at St. Anthony School. "Miss Diane" raised two daughters, Misty and Becky, and is very proud to say she is the grandmother of two boys and twin girls!
Miss Maryssa Szantyr (Mornings and Afternoons)
Miss Szantyr joined the St. Anthony family in 2009 as a Pre-K aide. She is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut, and has been a life-long student of Catholic education. Miss Szantyr attended St. Mary Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury. She began to pursue a degree in Medical Assisting, but found her true calling in nurturing the minds of our 3 and 4 year olds. Miss Szantyr also assists with our morning and afternoon Extended Day Program.
Afternoons: Mr. Joseph Tavera Mr. Tavera is a product of Catholic Education having graduated from both St. Anthony School and St. Paul Catholic High School. He has served our SAS students since 2007 in a variety of capacities: Technology Teacher, Substitute Teacher and Aide, and Member of both the Strategic Planning and Advancement Committees of the School Board. Mr. Tavera currently Co-Coordinates the Extended Day Program and is the Director of our school's Summer Camp. He has also been on the faculty at St. Matthew in Forestville since 2009, serving as Technology and Library Teacher. Mr. Tavera considers it a privilege to be working with the faculty, students, and parents in two area Catholic Schools. He has also volunteered for our Parish's Religious Education Program since 2003, teaching Grades 2, 6, and 7. Mr. Tavera has successfully completed all of the coursework required for a B.S. in Elementary Education and Earth Science from Central Connecticut State University and will spend time interning in a local public school this fall to complete his state certification. He looks forward to a rewarding career teaching in Catholic Schools!
Mrs. Laurie Tata
Mrs. Tata is a graduate of St. Anthony School and the former St. Anthony High School. She attended Becker College in Worcester, MA and earned her Associates of Science degree. Mrs. Tata worked as an Administrative Assistant in a school, hospital, and several offices. She then took time off to raise her three children. Her son, Michael, lives in Palm Desert, CA, and has earned a Ph.D. Her daughter, Laura, is a School Counselor in Shelton, and resides in Bristol with her husband, Michael, and son, Christian. Her youngest daughter, Julie, is also a School Counselor in Southington and lives with her husband, Ben, and twin sons, Jackson and James in West Hartford. Mrs. Tata chose a SAS education for her children. She spent several years privately caring for children and then joined the SAS family in 2004 as Extended Day Care Provider. Mrs. Tata says she "loves caring for the school children each afternoon and working with their families." She is a member of our Parish and lives in the Bristol community.
Mrs. Glenna Cadorette
Mrs. Cadorette started as a substitute aide when her daughter attended St. Anthony's Pre-K in 1994, and she became a full-time aide when her son started kindergarten at the school in 1996. Since then, she has been an aide in Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade, and has assisted with various duties at the school. Mrs. Cadorette has been a permanent aide in Pre-K since 2001. She also works daily in the Extended Day Program. She has been a parishioner at St. Anthony Church since 1994, and resides in the area with her husband and children. She is a graduate of Bristol Central High.
Miss Taylor Tavera
Miss Taylor attended two Catholic Schools in Bristol, both Saint Matthew and Saint Anthony. In Middle School, she served as President of her Eighth Grade class, and in High School, she served as Vice President of her class for four years. While at Bristol Central, Miss Taylor gained experience through the school's Child Development Program, working with the city's Preschool students. She also spent time at Whiz Kids Day Care Center caring for children in Grades 2-5. In 2009, after spending the previous school year volunteering in our program, Miss Taylor officially joined the SAS family as Extended Day Care Provider. She works with our students in Grades 2-8 each afternoon. Miss Taylor is studying Sociology and Psychology at Central Connecticut State University.
Mrs. Nancy Sesto
Mrs. Sesto has been teaching at St. Anthony School for six years. She is a life-long resident of Bristol. She is a graduate of the former St. Ann Grammar School and St. Paul Catholic High School. Mrs. Sesto graduated from St. Joseph College with a BA in Child Study. Mrs. Sesto resides in Bristol with her husband, Frank, who is a St. Anthony School alum, and their son, C.J., also a St. Anthony School alum.
