Our Physical Education Teacher

Mr. Pirog is a lifelong resident of Bristol, CT. He attended Bristol Central High School, and attended several different colleges. He spent the early part of his college career at Central CT State University and played football, and graduated with a degree in Management from Keene State College in New Hampshire.
As a coach, Mr. Pirog began his career in 1991 at Farmington High School as an assistant football coach for three years. He was also an assistant football coach at St. Paul Catholic High School for several years. Additionally, Mr. Pirog was the head football coach at Avon High School. At all three aforementioned schools, Mr. Pirog ran the weight training programs.
In Catholic education, Mr. Pirog has coached St. Joseph School girls basketball for fifteen years, baseball for twelve years, and girls soccer for three years. He has been teaching Physical Education at St. Joseph School for twelve years, at St. Paul in Kensington for eleven years, and at St. Anthony School for three years. He has also given of his time and talent to St. Dominic School in Southington, and St. Francis of Assisi in New Britain.
Mr. Pirog's parents are both retired school teachers, which has fostered his love for education. He also has two younger brothers. In his minimal free time, Mr. Pirog enjoys watching various sporting events.
