"In the Know" September 5, 2010
What a wonderful (but hot!) first week of school! We enjoyed welcoming back our new and returning families. It was so nice to see everyone again! The children enjoyed becoming familiar with everything there is to do in our classrooms and played outside for a little bit when it wasn't too unbearable. Next week, we will be in the full swing of things. I have kept the reminders below. Please take a look at them if you have not done so already. I hope you enjoy this long, Labor Day weekend!
Sending a BIG thank you to all of the families who purchased items from our wish list. YOU are the reason our school is such a great place!
Please consider purchasing items from our wish list. We appreciate your generosity. *Entering Pre-K3 - Grade 1: Disinfecting wipes, box of tissues, roll of paper towels *Entering Grades 2 - 8: Disinfecting wipes, box of tissues, baby wipes
Parents must sign in their children each morning and sign out each afternoon. Sign in/out forms can be found in your family's folder on the counter in our classroom. We will help you with this process.
Families dropping off or picking up their children in Extended Day may enter the building through two doors. Please note the doors are locked at all times for the safety of our children. If you see us on the playscape or blacktop, please see one of us so we can let you into the building. *If you choose to use our main school entrance by the school office (near large "welcome" sign), please ring the doorbell on the right side of the door and be in view of the camera. We may ask who you are picking up and will then buzz you in. You may then proceed to our classroom by making a right into the main school building. Look for the "Ext. Day Care" flag by our classroom. *The other entrance option is by our blacktop (near large "playground" sign). Please ring the doorbell on the right of the door and we will let you in.
Remember to send your child with a healthy snack if they will be attending our afternoon program.
Take a moment to become familiar with our fee policy. This year, as as a benefit to you, we will round the hours of care to the next quarter of an hour instead of to the next half hour. Otherwise, all other policies and procedures remain unchanged at this time.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
