OOBLECK! | | | It's a ratio of...
1/4 cup water 1 cup cornstarch
This will make a small batch. We usually multiply this recipe by eight. That amount satisfies three or four children at one time. So, I would suggest doubling this recipe for one child at home.
First add water to a container. Cornstarch follows the water. We usually find that you need quite a bit more water than the recipe calls for. Add it only after the original amount of water is completely absorbed by the cornstarch. Be careful, though...if too much water is added, the substance cannot be recovered without adding more cornstarch. You are looking for the substance to flow while it is still thick. You should not see water on the edges of the container. As you play, we find that you need to add a bit more water as time goes on. It does not store well. This substance should be sold while in the container but liquid once picked up. Let me know why you think this is by filling out the contact form. Beware, it can be messy...but fun! This is an "early dismissal favorite!" Enjoy!!!
