Dear Parents,
Welcome Back!
As a former principal for the past 31 years in Middletown, I consider it a great blessing to be your principal at St. Anthony School: a school under the guidance and protection of one of the most remarkable saints in the history of our great Church. St. Anthony of Padua, as you know, is the most famous disciple of St. Francis of Assisi. He has generously come to the assistance of the faithful who invoke him.
As we strive to put Christ above all things at St. Anthony School, we will continually work to fulfill our school mission; to reach the full academic and spiritual potential of all our students. It is a special grace to be working with children and young adults, as it is a time when they are developing both academically and spiritually. We will continue to hold up truth as we teach and develop our students each day in school.
With your assistance, we will continue to move our school on the continuum of excellence with teacher and parent collaboration, and planned professional activities for all of our staff. We will keep our parents informed throughout the school year with scheduled parent workshops and meetings to be announced in the weeks ahead.
Our new school year will begin on Monday, August 30, 2010. Students may arrive at 7:30 am.
Thank you for allowing us to help educate your children. I will be praying for them and asking Saint Anthony to intercede for all of us this coming school year.
Peace and Blessings, Dr. Gene P. Nocera, Ph.D Principal
